NADCA is the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, the industry standards body for HVAC system cleaning. A NADCA-certified company follows the ACR (Assessment, Cleaning & Restoration) standard: the entire HVAC system goes under negative pressure while technicians clean the supply and return ducts, coils, drain pan, blower motor, and grilles, not just what’s visible from the vent opening.
Certified technicians hold the ASCS (Air Systems Cleaning Specialist) or CVI (Certified Ventilation Inspector) credential, earned through NADCA training and exams. Not every company that says “certified” actually is — always ask to see the certification number or check NADCA’s own directory.
